Please create all graphics in CMYK format at 300 dpi or higher and remember to remove the template and guides before flattening and uploading your artwork.
Please double check that all important components of your submitted artwork (text, etc…) are within the supplied safe regions of the template and that your artwork extends to the bleed lines. Failure to do so may result in some clipping of your artwork or white borders around your artwork.
Do NOT flatten or merge template lines with artwork.
Hey, don't freak out here is a quick video to explain how use our templates 😉
WTF is a template?
A template is a file we give you so can you use it as a guide to create your artwork.
What I can use to create my artwork....Paint is ok?
Sorry but no....we recommend you to use professional software like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or QuarkXpress to be sure the result will be awesome.
CMYK format...say what?
CMYK is the format you need to send your files for printing, if your files are in RGB format you need to change it to CMYK.
DPI resolution...?
D.P.I. or “Dots per Inch” is the measurement used within the printing and graphics design industry to determine how sharp an image is. Higher resolutions mean that more pixels are used to create the image, resulting in a crisper, cleaner image. It’s really that simple.
What are all those lines on the template...?
1. Trim is where the product will be cut.
2. Bleed is the zone outside the trim area.
3. Margin is the zone inside the trim area.
In printing, bleed is printing that goes beyond the edge of where the sheet will be trimmed. In other words, the bleed is the area to be trimmed off. The bleed is the part on the side of a document that gives the printer a small amount of space to account for movement of the paper, and design inconsistencies. Artwork and background colors often extend into the bleed area. After trimming, the bleed ensures that no unprinted edges occur in the final trimmed document.
