Crystal case: Also called Jewel Box, it comes in different models. The most widespread remains, by far, the classic crystal case. Composed of a plastic tray on which will be placed the CD or DVD. This tray, also called "Tray" can be black or transparent. Depending on your choice, your visual can be printed only on the outside (black tray) but also inside (transparent tray). A booklet will be inserted.
DVD box (amaray): This is the most popular DVD box. Made of plastic, it can be black, white or transparent. You can then choose to print only the outer face or the outer and inner faces. It is also possible to integrate a booklet.
CD extra (or "enhanced" CD): This is a CD containing audio and video tracks. No additional cost is required.
Cellophane: This is a thin layer of plastic film covering the case.
Cromalin: Proof used as good to shoot (allows to check the colors in particular).
Digifile: Similar to the Digisleeve, the Digifile is made of cardboard only. The outer and inner surfaces are fully printable (except the inner slice). The only difference is that the CD and the booklet are inserted in a horizontal slit on the left or right pane.
Digipack: It consists mostly of cardboard. The outer and inner surfaces are fully printable (except the inner slice). The support hosting the CD (tray or tray) is itself plastic.
Digisleeve: It consists only of cardboard. The CD and the booklet are inserted like a vinyl in a Gatefold box, so they are not directly visible when you open the product. The outer and inner surfaces are fully printable (except the inner slice).
Duplication: This is the domestic process of reproducing CDs and DVDs by burning data to CD or DVD. The data is simply written on the surface of the support. The service life is reduced to 5 years.
Sheath: The sheath slides your case into a cardboard case. The housing can be inserted from above (o-card type) or from the side (slipcase type).
Embossing: The embossing allows for the highlighting of part of your visual.
Glassmaster: This is the piece created from your master CD. This glass / nickel mold will allow the pressing of your CD or DVD.
Inlay: This is the tray on which your CD will be located. It can be black, transparent XTRCC84 or the color of your choice (optional for the latter possibility).
Jewel Box: This is the most popular case. The CD is placed on a tray (called "Inlay") on the right pane and the booklet is slid on the left side.The first page of the booklet also plays the role of cover.
Master: This is the audio data that will be pressed. You must send us a master CD by post, it will be pressed 100% identical.
Maxi Box: This is the new-generation extra-slim case. The Maxibox is made entirely of transparent plastic, the CD or DVD is located on the right pane (printed side visible from the outside). The booklet is inserted on the left pane.
Mint pack: The new eco-friendly packaging (FSC standards) is made entirely of 350G cardboard. The Mint pack is half the thickness of a Jewel Box. A circular cut inside the case reveals the round of CD.
Page: One page = one side. A 4-page booklet has 4 sides.
Cardboard sleeve: It consists of 2 sides (front and back). The CD or DVD media is then inserted into a slot.
Pressing: This is the industrial process of reproducing CDs and DVDs from a glassmaster. The medium when pressed has a life of one hundred years. The data physically written on the support is protected by a layer of aluminum and a protective varnish.
SDRM: Indispensable whatever the type of pressing intended for the promotion or the sale, this subsidiary of the SACEM will issue you an authorization allowing you the pressing of your support.
SESAM: This is the body that authorizes the pressing of CD ROMs and DVDs.
Slim Box: The Slimbox is thinner than a classic Jewel Box. Entirely made of plastic, the CD or DVD is located on a black base arranged on the right pane. The booklet is inserted on the left pane.
Super Jewel Box: This is the new Jewel Box Jewel case. The design is enhanced by the rounded corners making the case at the same time
